The IceMusic Festival held near Geilo, Norway is as unique as they come: the instruments and stage are carved out of ice and snow and the concert takes place outdoors under the first full moon of the year. Based on varying environmental factors like air temperature and quality of ice, the sound of the music can vary considerably from year to year.

The 2016 Festival will take place over four days from January 21-24. The concert venue is located 4 kilometers south of Geilo, Norway, approximately halfway between the cities of Oslo and Bergen. In addition to road access, the Bergen Railway—one of the world’s great train journeys—has a stop in Geilo. During the festival free transport is available between the Geilo Railway Station and the concert venue. Below are performance overview and times, and for more information, visit www.icefestival.no.
