Cyber Week Deals (November 27 - December 6)
REI Co-op Siesta Hooded 25 Double Sleeping Bag (34% off)
REI’s synthetic Siesta sleeping bags are a nice value even at full MSRP, combining 3-season-ready warmth with a functional feature set and quality overall build. For their Cyber Week sale, REI has discounted the two-person Double variation considerably, which is a nice pick for those that frequently camp with a significant other. The bag is roomy enough for two average-sized adults to sleep and move around comfortably, boasts a warm insulated hood (many rectangular bags forego hoods), and comes with dual two-way zippers that allow each person to tailor warmth or unzip the bag to use as a quilt on balmy nights. Added up, it's a nicely built and highly practical option for two.

Rumpl Original Puffy Blanket (25% off)
Rumpl has quickly made a name for themselves in the camping market—you’ve probably seen their vibrant camp blankets if you’ve popped into an REI store recently. And after taking one of their Original Puffy Blankets onto a recent fall camping trip in Washington State, we immediately understood the hype. These blankets are impressively well-built and good-looking, combining fun and vibrant patterning with good warmth and functional features, including a cape clip for keeping your hands free and corner loop to anchor the blanket down in blustery weather. All told, there’s a lot of appeal for everything from camping trips to picnics, tailgates, outdoor concerts, and more, making the Rumpl one of our favorite pieces of gear to throw in the car regardless of the objective.

REI Co-op Hyperaxis Fleece Jacket 2.0 (30% off)
Fleece jackets provide excellent coziness and warmth and remain a popular option for everything from layering on chilly evenings around camp to taking on more demanding climbing and backpacking trips. REI’s Hyperaxis Fleece Jacket 2.0 slots in as a modern and performance-oriented design that wears well around town but is fully capable for higher-intensity activities. For warmth, REI utilizes Polartec’s premium Power Stretch Pro fabric that’s stretchy, breathable, and wicks moisture well. In terms of features, you get functional hipbelt-compatible hand pockets, seam-free shoulders that don’t bunch up under pack straps, and thumb loops for easy layering. For a more casual option from REI, their budget-friendly Groundbreaker 2.0 is also 30% off during the sale with a more everyday-friendly look and feel (albeit less performance appeal).

Hydro Flask Standard-Mouth Water Bottle (25% off)
Reusable water bottles are a no-brainer in 2021 and have appeal for commuting to work, outdoor adventures, and everything in between. Hydro Flask is one of the biggest names in the hydration world, and their Standard-Mouth Water Bottle is one of the most ubiquitous on the market. Like many of Hydro Flask’s offerings, the Standard-Mouth utilizes a quality double-wall stainless steel build that keeps beverages cold for hours (and sometimes even days) and is highly durable and scratch-resistant, and the narrower design easily fits in most car cup holders and backpack side pockets. Finally, we love the fun array of vibrant colorways, from neon pink and orange to subtler but classy pastels. It speaks volumes that we almost never leave home without our trusty Hydro Flask.

Big Agnes Torchlight Camp 20 Sleeping Bag (40% off)
Based out of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Big Agnes is no stranger to the world of camping and boasts a healthy lineup of tents, sleeping bags, and more. Their Torchlight Camp 20 sleeping bag (also available in a women's-specific model) is a testament to their expertise and attention to detail: the Fireline Pro synthetic fill is warm and keeps insulating even when wet, while dual zipper sliders on the innovative extendable panels allow you to adjust fit and expand the bag’s circumference by up to 10 inches (nice for when you want to stretch out on a summer car camping trip). Other notable features include a snug and well-insulated hood, interior fabric loop to attach a sleeping bag liner, exterior loops for hang-drying, and a draft tube along the collar to trap additional warmth.

Icebreaker 200 Oasis Crew Top (30% off)
Icebreaker is a merino wool specialist with a healthy collection of high-performance baselayers for demanding outdoor pursuits. The 200 Oasis Crew Top is one of the most popular designs in their lineup and has been a favorite of ours for years, with a classic crew cut (they also sell a half-zip option) and 100% merino build that wicks moisture well, is naturally odor-resistant, and feels impressively soft and supple against the skin. Unlike some of the more casual baselayers on the market, the Icebreaker also sports practical features like underarm gussets and offset shoulder seams to maximize mobility and limit chafing under backpack straps. To complete your kit, Icebreaker’s 200 Oasis Leggings are also discounted this week.

BioLite HeadLamp 200 (25% off)
Every outdoor adventurer needs a quality headlamp, whether you’re embarking on a long day hike or performing camp chores after the sun sets. BioLite’s headlamps are some of our favorites year after year, and their 200 model is a versatile pick with enough lumens for navigating in full darkness, four lighting modes including dimming capabilities and red light functions, and a rechargeable battery that eliminates the need to pack extra AAAs. We also love the streamlined and lightweight (1.6-oz.) build, which gives it a very low-profile and barely-there feel when jogging or trail running.

REI Co-op Merino Wool Lightweight Hiking Crew Socks (30% off)
Merino wool hiking socks are the gold standard for many hikers: they’re soft, breathable, and do a great job at fending off stink for long periods of time. REI Co-op’s Merino Wool collection fits that bill nicely, and their Lightweight Hiking Crew model is an excellent pick for year-round adventuring. First and foremost, you get a healthy dose of merino (79%) along with nylon and a little spandex for good all-around durability and stretch. We've found these socks are highly comfortable, wick moisture well, and offer sufficient padding for most moderate hiking and backpacking with added reinforcements in friction-prone areas like the heel, toe, and footbed. And at 30% off the already-affordable $17 MSRP, they’re a truly great value.

La Sportiva Tarantulace Climbing Shoes (25% off)
La Sportiva is a climbing company first and foremost, and their long-standing Tarantulace is a proven option for everything from gym use to outdoor multi-pitch climbs. The leather and synthetic upper does a nice job at balancing comfort and breathability, while the 5-millimeter FriXion RS rubber outsole provides excellent grip and stands up well to consistent use. Trad climbers will also appreciate the laces, which are much better suited for shoving in cracks than bulky Velcro and allow you to dial in a precise fit (although they do take longer to put on and take off). We’ve tested and reviewed a number of climbing shoes over the years, and the Tarantulace stands out as one of the more versatile and well-rounded designs for those that like to do a little of everything. The women's model comes in a slightly different colorway and is also 25% off this week.

STRIDER 12 Sport Kids' Balance Bike (20% off)
Balance bikes are a fun and safe way for kids to transition to riding on two wheels, and STRIDER makes some of our favorite designs on the market. Their 12 Sport Kids’ Balance Bike is a great pick for children from 18 months all the way up to 5 years with a height-adjustable seat and handlebars (quick-release levers make it extremely easy to do). Durability is another hallmark, including a sturdy and hardwearing steel frame and puncture-resistant tires that should stand up well to regular (and expectedly rough) use. Added up, we've found that it's the ideal starter bike.
